Once installed in your phone, you will need to set two mobile phone numbers of your friends and relatives. When a new sim card is inserted into the phone and used, it will send alert messages to the phone numbers you have nominated. The message will display the mobile number of the new user as well the IMEI number of your phone (which is unique to the phone).

You must be sure that your Alert messages are enabled for this function to work. You can access this function through Options in the Cellsniper application on your phone.

Cell Sniper has an “Enable Lock” option which locks the mobile phone every time it is restarted. As soon as a new sim is inserted and switched on, the new user will be unable to use the phone but your nominated friends and/or relatives will still receive the alert SMS. The CellSniper installed in your mobile phone can be locked remotely by sending a SMS to the mobile. Once the application receives and verifies the message, the mobile will be locked and can only be unlocked by the password you set.

The Wipe function facilitates in deleting your confidential data from your phone which can otherwise be misused if fallen into the wrong hands. Wipe is the silent listener of SMS which is activated only by a unique Wipe Message. Upon receiving a wipe message the application checks with the wipe password that you had sent. Once it verifies that it matches, the application deletes your native Contacts, Inbox & Outbox SMS, Drafts, videos and images in your misplaced mobile.
